Who are we?
The Shaolin Daxue International Society is an organism of the only Shaolin Monastery of the Song Mountain of the People's Republic of China. This Society has presence in the East as well as in the West. Its foundation is due to the wish of Shi Sheng He, a monk belonging to the 32nd generation of warrior monks of the monastery, as a way to disseminate the Dharma to all those beings who seek a true path of internal growth. It aims to renew the society of our time by enlarging each human being's conscience, and to spread the legacy of the treasures of ancient ages. It currently has two study facilities, called XUE YUAN, in Mexico and in the People's Republic of China, where periodic exchange activities and journeys take place. It has direct contact with several cultural, academic and social centres, internationally renowned for their antiquity and teaching tradition, such as the Beijing Language and Culture University, the White Cloud Monastery, and the Wu Dang Shan Monastery, all of them located in the People's Republic of China, as well as the U Pandita Monastery in Burma; the Lachen Monastery in Sikkim, India; and the Samye and Mindrolin Monasteries in Tibet, among others. The Society's directive and teaching staff is comprised by young people graduated from the most prestigious universities in the Americas.
Where are we?
The Shaolin Daxue International Society is present in the Mexican Republic through its main campus, located in the city of Guadalajara, and has branches in Monterrey and Mexico City, as well. It is also present in the People's Republic of China through its brother institute located in Deng Feng, in the outskirts of the Shaolin Monastery in the Henan province, and its branch in Xishuangbana. It has also academic exchange agreements with universities in China, Burma, and India.

What do we offer?
Academic programmes
xThe Shaolin Daxue International Society's educative model is successful because of the fact that it was directly inherited from teachings with over 1500 years of development, as well as because of the preparation and experience of its teaching staff. All of the instructors have, or are in the process of obtaining, undergraduate and graduate degrees. They are trained by means of journeys to the East and scholarships so that they may develop their teaching abilities. 100% of the courses are taught by instructors who are Shi Guo Long's (Shaolin monk) direct students. On the other hand, the Shaolin Daxue International Society is a truly multi-campus international system, as the XUE YUAN offer the international studies programmes, with exchanges between centres in different countries. Our offer comprises the areas of:

Journeys to the East
One of the reasons for belonging to the Shaolin Daxue International Society is to offer the opportunity to experience first-hand the treasures of the East that are still live, conserved by a group of masters who have inherited them from generation to generation to the right persons so as to keep the essence and tradition of these systems alive. The journeys to the East are the means that our system offers to achieve our mission. The direct contact with the major legacy and cultural expressions of other countries not only allows for a wider vision and tolerance, but it also awakens the wish to develop oneself in a whole way to achieve our greatest potentials.
The journeys take place every year, they range from a couple of months to several years, working and studying in a serious and professional manner in the cultural and academic centres of the Eastern countries.
Scholarship System
It is a responsibility of the Shaolin Daxue International Society to provide support to all those with true intentions and an honest heart. This support means direct access to the best teachers of the World, with direct lineage from the best systems for internal development. For this reason scholarships are available every year to those who have worked hard and truly wish to develop internally, but lack the resources to do it. The Scholarship System is based on a sponsor system that convokes to all those people willing to collaborate.
Organisms
The objective of the Organisms System is to provide a social service to the community, as well as convoking those people interested in supporting the project with resources of any sort.
Social service
The social service programme in the Shaolin Daxue International Society is started as a need and a commitment from its members to renew the natural generosity and respect in all human beings towards other human beings that require of support because of any circumstance or condition.
Support to the elderly
To rescue and promote the due respect along with the love the elderly have earned with their dignity and courage because every human being has the need to reach old age with dignity. We have been working for several years helping people over 60 years old in Nuevo Leon, Mexico, and Henan, People's Republic of China.
Support to orphaned children
The objective of this programme is to acquire the responsibility of providing the same or better conditions we were provided with by our parents to those who, by any reason, do not.
We support all of the young as they are like our own children and we owe them respect because when we see them we don't know what the future has in store for that child and if they will be great human beings who will help transforming our society in a positive way.
We will build a home with all the necessary elements to provide our children with the best conditions for an integral development that includes the study of the great classics of humanity, as well as with contact with the higher possible number of foreign cultures, so that we can bring them a more complete and healthy vision of tolerance and liberty.
Friends of Kung-fu
The friends of the Kung-fu programme of the Shaolin Daxue International Society exists since 2004 and was started with the support of the system members as an unselfish commitment to support the education and growth of a talented youth that in the future can become the leader who will positively transform their environment.
The friends of the Kung-fu programme aims to anonymously group all those people and organisations who wish to contribute with the diffusion of a culture of respect and tolerance by donating economical resources for several programmes.

Scholarships for children under 15 years old
- Annual scholarships for educative programmes in the XUE YUAN.
- Summer scholarships to visit and study in the Shaolin monastery.
Scholarships for university instructors
- Summer training scholarships in the East
- Annual scholarships for the academic, sports and art centres in the East
EASTERN HERITAGE
It seeks to obtain the resources to bring to the West the best books, study materials and classical Eastern works of art for their study and dissemination among our society in order to complement and appreciate the cultural richness of the human race.
GREAT PROJECT
In its more long-sighted phase the Friends of the Kung-fu programme will obtain the necessary funding to build a monastery in Latin America where the heritage of the East can be lived and studied. It will be a centre for all those who wish to better know the heritage of the most well-known ancient cultures still alive.
The consummation of the great project in Latin-American soil implies inviting the treasures and masters of the East without breaking the lineage and the strict respect to the persons who keep this inheritance. Thanks to the cultural similarities between Asia and Latin-America many teachers in the East deem Latin-America a land of hope where the authentic teaching can bloom adequately.
